Planning

Ahhh, retirement. Time to relax, play some golf, forget all about that daily commute. Take life easy, right? For some, perhaps, but the overwhelming evidence in multiple studies of the Baby Boomers indicates otherwise. Many don't plan to retire the way their parents did. Many more don't plan to retire at all. And then there are those who simply don't have a plan. Yet, as Bob Dylan promised, "The Times They Are A' Changin'" and this applies to retirement too.

The entire concept of aging in America is changing. People are living longer and generally healthier lives and wish to spend their retirement years in good shape, being active, and staying connected with others. There is a concern for quality of life as well as quantity of years. And there are more options than ever for aging individuals

Care Giving

Retirement: the blessings and the challenges. People old enough to retire are also old enough to know that things may not always work out the way you planned. People change and circumstances evolve. And sometimes your role shifts. The so-called "golden years" may seem to offer unlimited options for pleasurable activities, but more often may involve caregiving. Whether this means increased needs of your own, caring for an aging spouse, a grandchild, or your elderly parents, it requires a flexible attitude and some good contacts. We can help.
